George James Foley [1872 - 1945]

George Foley, son of Thomas James Foley and Elizabeth Rebecca Stamp was born in 1872 at Walhalla, Victoria, Australia and died on October 27, 1945 in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia. He married Fannie Edith Beresford Meyers in 1902 at Kalgoorlie, Western Australia.

A member of the National  Party, he was elected to the Federal House of Representatives in a By-Election for the seat of Kalgoorlie, Western Australia on December 18, 1920 after the expulsion of the sitting member, Hugh McMahon (Australian Labour Party).
